1. Purpose of the Verified Badge

The SMEhub.world Verified Badge is a visual trust signal that confirms a business has:

  • Claimed its listing on SMEhub.world; and
  • Completed the SMEhub.world verification process.

The badge is intended to show identity and association only.


2. Permission to Use the Badge

Only businesses with current Verified status may use the SMEhub.world Verified Badge.

Permission to use the badge:

  • Is granted at SMEhub.world’s discretion
  • Is non-transferable
  • May be withdrawn at any time

If verification is suspended or revoked, badge usage must stop immediately.


3. Where the Badge May Be Displayed

The Verified Badge may only be displayed:

  • On the business’s official website
  • In a location clearly associated with the business (e.g. footer, about page, contact page)

The badge must:

  • Link directly to the business’s verification page on SMEhub.world
  • Be clearly visible but not dominant

4. Where the Badge Must NOT Be Used

The Verified Badge must not be used:

  • On third-party websites you do not control
  • In paid advertising (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
  • On invoices, contracts, legal documents or certificates
  • On social media profile images or cover photos
  • In a way that suggests government, regulatory or industry certification

5. How the Badge May Be Used

When displaying the badge:

  • Use the official badge artwork provided by SMEhub.world
  • Do not alter colours, proportions, wording or design
  • Do not animate or stylise the badge
  • Do not combine the badge with other logos in a way that creates confusion

Acceptable accompanying text examples:

  • “Verified on SMEhub.world”
  • “SMEhub.world Verified Business”

6. How the Badge Must NOT Be Used

The badge must not be used in a way that:

  • Implies endorsement, recommendation or approval by SMEhub.world
  • Suggests verification of quality, licensing, qualifications or compliance
  • Suggests ranking, preference or superiority over other businesses
  • Misleads users about the meaning of verification

Prohibited wording includes (but is not limited to):

  • “Approved by SMEhub.world”
  • “Certified by SMEhub.world”
  • “Recommended by SMEhub.world”
  • “Official SMEhub.world partner”

7. Ongoing Obligations

Verified businesses must:

  • Keep their SMEhub.world listing accurate and up to date
  • Continue to meet verification requirements
  • Comply with SMEhub.world’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Verification Policy
  • Use the badge only in accordance with these rules

8. Monitoring and Enforcement

SMEhub.world may:

  • Review badge usage at any time
  • Request changes or removal of improper badge use
  • Suspend or revoke verification for misuse of the badge

Failure to remove the badge after revocation may result in further action, including suspension of listings or accounts.


9. Changes to These Rules

SMEhub.world may update these Badge Usage Rules from time to time. Continued use of the badge after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.
